ABOUT US

We are over 3,100 classroom teachers, teacher assistants, bus drivers, principals, administrators, custodians, maintenance workers, media specialists, cafeteria workers, school treasurers, social workers and others within the Guilford County Schools system advocating for great public schools!

We are a democratic organization with elected officers overseeing the general operations of the GCAE and are supported by three staff from the NCAE assigned to Guilford County.

We are affiliated with the National Education Association (NEA) based in Washington, DC and the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
