GCAE Local Nominations for 2019

Local nominations for GCAE offices, GCAE Executive Board seats, and NCAE and NEA delegate nominations are due by February 11, 2019. If elected to a local GCAE position the expectation is that Officers and Directors attend monthly GCAE Executive Board meetings and monthly GCAE Member Meetings. In addition to attending these meetings, Officers and Directors assist with ongoing work of the Association and communicate regularly with the schools they represent.

Positions currently available in 2019 are:

(1) Vice President
(1) Primary Director (K-2)
(1) Elementary School Director
(1) Middle School Director
(1) High School Director (9-12)
(1) Educational Support Professional (ESP)
(1) Student Services Director

You may nominate yourself or a current member. To serve in the Director positions, the nominee must currently work in the area listed. You are allowed to nominate only one person for each position. If you do not have a nomination, leave the form blank.

We are also accepting nominations for delegates to NCAE Convention and NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly.

The 2019 NCAE Convention will be held at the Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown, 3415 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC, March 22-23, 2019.

The 2019 NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly (NEA Convention) will be held July 3rd- July 7th, 2019 in Houston, Texas

Delegates for the 2019 NCAE convention and NEA Annual Meeting are elected through their local affiliates. We don’t yet know how many delegates will be funded but if you would like to be considered, please submit your name.

Nominations must be received by February 11, 2019.
