Wanted to share a few important updates and requests as we move toward the winter break:
1) Join us next Thursday Dec 14, 2017 from 5 until 6:30 pm at Scuppernong Books for a community conversation on what our public schools need most and to make a card for NC legislators asking them to #StopClassSizeChaos! Unfunded class size legislation will cost Guilford County Schools $16 million alone if action is not taken. Scuppernong Books is located at 304 South Elm St in downtown Greensboro. 3) It’s time for NCAE nominations! complete and submit the NCAE/NEA nomination for state and regional positions and state-allotted delegates. Link to nomination form is here. Each candidate for a position must have an active membership. DEADLINE to submit this form: Jan 9, 2018. Local nominations are due by our Jan 18, 2018 Member Meeting, that will be posted soon in a separate form.
